Keeping Up To Date With What's Happening

Yesterday I attended a real estate seminar in Richmond, Virginia. The seminar was very informative.  I am happy if I take away one thing that I can use forever more.  Yesterday was a bonus day, I learned a lot of stuff I can use for promoting myself as a real estate agent.  The class also presented websites I can use to help manage the stuff I do in new and better ways.

I love technology.  The seminar was geared around agents being tech savvy.  I am alwasys gearing my efforts towards being more tech savvy.  I really enjoyed the seminar.  Did I already say that?

Well, there are a few websites I will add to my Android arsenal.  EverNote, 360Panorama, JING, LogMeIn, USTREAM, DocScanner, Pic2Shop, and OpenHomePro.  What a difference a day makes.

I can look forward to Apps like RealEstateMaster coming to market.  Then I can have a real estate calculator as one of my phone apps.

When I got back I immediately got busy with implementing some of the things I learned.  During the event I purchased featured zip codes for 23513, 23518, and 23509.  If sellers are looking to list properties in those zip codes over the next year I will hold a reserved spot for my listings to show at the top and bottom of each search for those particular zip codes.  I really love that because I can advertise properties for other areas within those zip codes as well which should at times help me to target move-up buyers.

Over the next week I will be sending out prospecting campaigns to attract some home sellers from those areas.  What a great advantage to have your home featured on one of the #1 real estate websites just for listing with me.  The best part is I will be able to send my sellers a detailed market report to show them how much their listing is being seen.  How many property views it receives online, the number of times people view the featured tours, and how well it is doing from week-to-week.

It is very clear real estate is playing a very important role for today's consumer in their home buying purchase decisions.

My goal always is to work smarter and not harder.  At times it requires working harder to get things set up and keeping up and putting things in place.  The clear advantage is when it brings results.  If you don't make the effort to be at the top and provide the best exposure and service for your clients you can almost count on nothing happening.

I like to see things happen.  I like to see things progressing and moving forward.  I always willing to implement marketing practices and techniques that are going to push my listings to the next level.

If you are thinking about listing or selling your home, give me a call.   I go over and beyond to get my listings sold.

Heck I was so excited after yesterday's seminar I also came back to the office and purchased featured spots on Zillow and Yahoo Real Estate.  I know there is power in numbers.  Being on the sites for those who are #1 for different things in their respective niche is a plus too.

I hoping next month this time I am writing a blog about how much I've earned from featuring all these spots.
